Invert tubes 5 to 10 times immediately after filling.Submit specimens MONDAY-FRIDAY only. Specimens may not be submitted on the weekend.
Maintain the specimen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate. It is recommended that the sample be drawn shortly before courier pick up and be received within 24 hours.
If a CBC is also required, a separate EDTA (lavender-top) tube must be submitted
